AO 2018 Annual Meeting simulcast

Live simulcast brings hybrid Annual Meeting to you

The Academy of Osseointegration (AO) would love to see all of its members and dental colleagues from around the globe as it hosts the 2018 Annual Meeting for the first time in vibrant, downtown Los Angeles.

However, for those who are otherwise unable to attend, AO is pleased to offer an exciting new members-only hybrid version of the Annual Meeting – the live simulcast of the Opening Symposium on March 1, and new for 2018 – the addition of the Closing Symposium on March 3.

By participating virtually, you’ll be able to stay on the cutting edge of implant dentistry and learn from world-renowned thought leaders in the field of implant dentistry.

Audience members, including those watching the live simulcast, will be able to engage with the speakers to ask questions – in real time – via email and AO’s new year-round mobile app, “AO 365.”

What’s more, you will be able to receive all of these benefits directly from the second-best seat of the Congress! Additionally, the simulcast sessions are CE eligible.

The Opening Symposium will feature keynote speakers Drs. Harold Slavkin and Stephen Chen speaking on “Personalized Oral Health and the Future for Dental Implants” and “Contemporary Concepts of Socket Wound Healing.”  Presentations from Drs. Matteo Chiapasco, Markus Hürzeler and Otto Zuhr, reflecting on the 2018 theme, “Inspiring Imagination – Enhancing Health,” will conclude the opening afternoon.

For the Closing, AO President Dr. Michael Norton will host a captivating conversation with a panel of some of the most illustrious and wise implant experts. This will involve no lectures at all. It is a brand new format for AO and a new concept for any dental congress to have a whole session purely dedicated to debate. Then 2018 Annual Meeting Program Chair Dr. Joseph Kan will moderate “Implant Esthetics: 2018.” Featuring Drs. Stephen Chu, Giovanni Zucchelli, and István Urbán, topics will include “Prosthetic Contouring,” “Soft Tissue Grafts,” and “Guided Bone Regeneration,” respectively. Each presentation will take the approach of discussing what works and what doesn’t work in their respective topical areas.

But remember – the live simulcasts are a members-only benefit. So if you are not a member, why not join AO today to take advantage of this simulcast and many other member benefits all year long?

Whether we see you in person or virtually from Los Angeles, we look forward to your participation in AO’s 2018 Annual Meeting – the premier dental congress of the world.
