New AO mobile app offers year-round connectivity

For anyone with a smartphone, mobile apps have become a popular technology for just about any task imaginable. For the past five years, the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) has embraced this technology and created an event mobile app for each Annual Meeting that has put state-of-the-art functionality in the hands of meeting goers to enhance their event experience. Having provided the most advanced technology and added features each year, these apps have consistently received accolades by our meeting attendees.

Introducing AO 365

Because of the popularity of the mobile apps, AO has developed a year-round, organizational mobile app that provides features and functionality that go beyond the usual features of an event app. In addition to using mobile device connectivity to enjoy a better Annual Meeting experience, users now have additional features to create better organizational communication throughout the entire year with ongoing news and updates, access to the AO Member Directory, access to AO leadership, direct single sign-on access to AO member resources, including JOMI Online, the AO Learning Center and Video Library.

AO members can locate other members in the Member Directory section and send an email or phone call. Private member groups can create individual forums for sharing documents and videos or engage in real-time conversation. This technology provides a convenient communication tool for members to stay in touch with AO colleagues around the world.


A key component of mobile app technology is the ability to quickly and conveniently access information at any time from your mobile device. AO 365 directly connects members to the most popular member resources with single sign-on capability – no additional logins required. JOMI online, AO webinars, the e-poster library, Annual Meeting session recordings, and other resources are now more easily accessed with a single touch.

Annual Meeting attendees who are looking for the 2018 Annual Meeting mobile app will need to download the AO 365 mobile app to have access to the event app. To download, search the iPhone App Store or the Google Play Store by entering ‘AO 365.’ Once the app is loaded onto your device and opened, you will be prompted to enter as MEMBER or NONMEMBER. AO members can log in by using the same username and passcode they use to enter the online membership directory.

Whether using the app as a MEMBER or NONMEMBER, the 2018 Annual Meeting mobile app can be accessed by touching the ‘Events’ icon. Follow the prompts and you will be directed to the meeting mobile app. Attendees can find detailed program information, an index of speakers that lists their session titles, times and locations, floor plans with interactive mapping that helps you locate sessions and exhibitors, an attendee listing, and customized city information to help you navigate your way around Los Angeles.
