John Brunski, PhD

Primary Implant Instability: Indispensable or Insignificant?

John Brunski is currently Senior Research Engineer in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dept. of Surgery at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. For 32 years he was a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy NY, where he is now Professor Emeritus. Professor Brunski’s research interests include clinical biomechanics as well as mechanobiology at the bone-implant interface. Dr. Brunski also consults with clinicians and companies on various aspects of dental implant design. He is author of 33 book chapters, and his manuscripts have been published in peer-reviewed dental and bioengineering journals. Dr. Brunski has given over 200 presentations of his research at university and professional conferences worldwide.
