Dr. Chiapasco graduated in Medicine and specialized in maxillofacial surgery at the University of Milan, Italy. He is currently Professor and Head, Unit of Oral Surgery in the Department of Biomedical, Surgical, and Dental Sciences at the University of Milan, Visiting Associate Professor at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles, California. He is a Past President of the Italian Society of Oral Surgery and Past President of the Italian Society of Ossoeintegration. His main fields of interest are Oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular focus on orthognatic surgery and advanced preprosthetic surgery (reconstructions for severe atrophy, tumor defects, trauma sequelae, congenital malformations). He has extensively lectured on these topics in the last 20 years all over the world. He is the author or co-author of approximately 100 papers published on peer-reviewed international journals and approximately 200 papers published in Italian Journals.
